Ailsa Craig, nursing and nursing dementia care home, in Glasgow, one staff member is off on her maternity leave.
Both Residents and staff are very excited for Shannon as she embarks on a new adventure as her baby boy is due to be born September.
Everyone at Ailsa Craig wanted to give Shannon a baby shower she can remember has they won’t be seeing her until she returns back to Ailsa Craig.
Head Housekeeper, Fiona Pryce arranged a surprise baby shower for Shannon where she received lots of lovely gifts which they were sure will be well used by the little one.
Shannon was delighted and surprised by the event. She enjoyed some sandwiches and fantastic cupcakes made by the wonderful kitchen staff.
Residents are so excited to meet baby boy and have asked Shannon for lots of pictures and to meet him when he is born.
Shannon, commented, “It has been such a wonderful day. Thank you! I can’t wait for everyone to meet the baby.”
Lynsey Armstrong , Care Home Manager, added, “Enjoy this time and get as much rest as you can because he will keep you very busy when he arrives.”
