A HC-One Duffield care home has been ‘highly commended’ as one of the best care homes in the East Midland region at the East Midlands Care Awards 2024.
Bankwood Care Home in Belper which provides residential and nursing care for up to 40 residents received the accolade when they were included in the ‘Care Home of the Year Award’ Category at the East Midlands Care Conference, an event held at the Tent Conference Centre, Nottingham on the 6th March 2024.
The certificate of commendation was presented to Home Manager of HC-One’s Bankwood Care Home, Izzie Hamza by Nicole McGlennon, Managing Director of Health Innovation East Midlands, and Martin Hindle, Chair of Health Innovation East Midlands.
Bankwood Care Home was described as “warm and welcoming” with a “second to none” leadership, “providing a true home from home”.
The care home was nominated by Diane Cox, whose husband has been a resident at Bankwood since May 2023.
After receiving the commendation, Izzie Hamza said:
“This is a wonderful achievement for Bankwood, and for the fantastic team who put in a tremendous amount of effort serving our residents every single day.
“We are very pleased and proud to be recognised, and will continue to strive in our commitment to providing kind care to everybody at Bankwood.”
