Big celebrations at Telford care home celebrating their one-year anniversary and Mayor opening new dTelford’s luxury care home, Priorslee House, have been celebrating their one-year anniversary and marked the occasion with the town Mayor, Raj Mehta, opening the doors to their new Sweat Pea community. Allowing the care home to provide high-quality residential dementia care.
 
Priorslee House have commemorated their one-year anniversary with a fabulous event at the care home, where Residents invited their Relatives and friends to join them for some wonderful live entertainment and buffet spread. Telford Mayor, Raj Mehta, was in attendance and spoke with some of the Residents at the home before officially opening their Sweat Pea residential dementia community.
 
Two special guests also attended the anniversary event, Janice Matthews and Christine Bradshaw, both had short stays at Priorslee House and regularly come back to the home to visit the friends they made while staying at the care home. Janice and Christine said how much they loved their time at Priorslee and said they would like to in the future return and stay in full time.
 
Another Resident was in very high spirits, Dorothy Lewis, who was celebrating her 100th birthday! The town Mayor wished Dorothy a very happy birthday and thanked her for all the commitments she has made for the country and the town throughout the years. There was a fantastic saxophone player from Newcastle, Sax Janet, who played through the day. Residents commented how magical her takes on some classic jazz songs were, and the music created a lovely environment to be in.
 
Later in the day, a hot buffet was brought out for all of the Residents and guests to enjoy, which included freshly cooked treats made by the care home chef. Some wonderful home-made Spanish meatballs were quite a hit amongst everybody who tried them.
 
Anita Horton, Priorslee House Home Manager commented, “What a fabulous event this has been, it’s been lovely seeing our Residents invite their loved ones to the anniversary and all having a fantastic time together”.
