Dove Court care home, in Burnley, received a much-appreciated visit from one of their BT Champions who came loaded with presents for Residents.
On 20th December, a representative from BT champions, Aniesa Khan, visited the 120-bed residential, nursing and dementia care home to give out lots of gifts for the Residents for Christmas.
BT Champions is an employee-led initiative whereby staff stay in contact with Residents at care homes throughout the UK to chat to and provide companionship. They are currently building up this partnership with many of the HC-One owned homes.
Dove Court Residents got to pick from an assortment of chocolates and toiletries, which included everything from Lindt and Quality Street to luxury body wash, shampoo and conditioner.
One of the Residents commented, “It was like Christmas had come early! Thank you very much. What a lovely surprise, you have made my day.”
Stephanie Tillotson, Wellbeing Coordinator at Dove Court, said, “Thank you so much to BT Champions. It is so appreciated and the Residents were over the moon with their gifts.”
