Cancer Research coffee morning at Penrith care homeResidents and staff at Cold Spring Park, residential and residential dementia, care home in Penrith have raised a huge amount of money for Cancer Research. 

Caf Smith a lovely staff member who passed away in July was a fantastic member of the team so everyone wanted to raise money for Cancer Research in her memory.

A coffee morning was held at the Penrith Guide and Brownie Hut in Penrith and it was the perfect location for the event. The location was chosen as Caf was a guide leader for over 23 years!

Over 100 people came to the event and it was a huge success.

There was lots of lovely cakes and everyone enjoyed either a cup of tea or coffee. 

Overall £600 was raised for Cancer Research. A lovely charity that has helped many people. 

It was a brilliant morning and the staff at Cold Springs Park are so happy at the amount raised for the charity. 

Jacqueline Johnstone, Care Home Manager, commented, “The cake was lovely and everyone had a great time. A huge amount was raised for a fantastic cause.”
