Residents, Colleagues and visitors at HC-One’s
St James Park care home were all delighted to see Charlie the PAT dog return to visit after a break of three years.
Pets as Therapy (PAT) dogs are a real benefit for Residents at the 31-bed residential and nursing care home, who enjoy giving Charlie a brush and feeding him with his favourites treats. He is great company and a good talking point for all.
After not visiting for three years, Charlie hadn’t forgotten his way around the home and knew exactly where he was going, making his way into the lounges to greet Residents with owner Alison.
He will now be a regular part of the St James Park family, making regular visits to all.
Simon, who lives at the home, said “He is gorgeous, I hope I will see him often.”
Mihaela Barbulescu, Home Manager, commented, “It is such a happiness to have Charlie back again. Lots of Residents shared nice memories, many about times when Charlie was visiting regularly. Now Charlie is part of the St James Park Family.
