Residents at
Douglas View, nursing and nursing dementia care home in Hamilton, enjoyed a lovely boat trip.
A wonderful day had by Jean, Agnes, Fred, Margaret, June and Alice as they set sail on the Kirkintilloch canal.
The day was spent alongside the seagull trust sailing along the canal, taking in the fresh air and waving at all the passers-by.
Jean was eager to drive the boat, she took control and sailed everyone down the canal with such ease. She remarked, “I can’t believe I was steering the boat, it was wonderful.”
Everyone was so relaxed and enjoyed their time out in the fresh air!
Louise Fulton, Care Home Manager, commented, “The Residents had a lovely day and have been speaking about it ever since.”
