Residents at
Dove Court residential, nursing, residential dementia and nursing dementia care home, located just outside of Burnley, had a lovely surprise visit from pupils from Casterton Primary Academy.
The students surprised everyone by dropping off postcards of kindness, handwritten by the pupils themselves. The children were also asking how the Residents were, and telling them a bit about themselves, as well as offering words of encouragement during this pandemic.
Residents enjoyed reading the cards, with one commenting, “How lovely that a schoolchild has thought of me. Thank you so much, you have made my day!”
Colleague Stephanie Tillotson, remarked, “It was a lovely surprise! Thank you on behalf of Dove Court Residents!”
