Janette Matias, Home Manager at HC-One, has been shortlisted for The Registered Manager of the Year Award Category at the 2022 Leaders in Care Awards for the North region.
The nomination for the award is in recognition of her hard work and kind care shown to Residents, Relatives and Colleagues as well as the dedication and passion Janette shows every day to ensure the people she supports receive the best quality care.
Janette, who is currently Home Manager at Ballumbie care home, having moved over from The Birches, she has worked her way up from Carer, Senior Carer, Nursing Assistant and Deputy Manager before promotion to Home Manager in November 2018. She truly loves her role as Home Manager, enjoys interacting with Residents, taking time to hear their amazing life stories and arranges events and activities with nearby schools to include the local community in life at the home.
Janet Kermack, Regional Director, who nominated Janette for the award, said:

The Winners of the 2022 Leaders in Care Awards will be announced at an exclusive awards ceremony and dinner at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole on Tuesday 11 October.
In total, five Colleagues have been shortlisted for the Leaders in Care Awards 2022.
