Fieldway care home rolls out royal coronation celebrationResidents at HC-One’s Fieldway care home in Mitcham, Surrey, put on their party clothes and dancing shoes to celebrate the royal coronation.

Taking place over two floors of the 68 beds care home that offers residential, nursing and dementia care, Residents sang and danced along to two live singers or stepped out into the garden to enjoy a chat and food from delicious buffet.

And in addition to the live entertainment and food and drink, Residents had a selection of coronation accessories like flags, glasses, hats, temporary tattoos and bubbles to help celebrate the national occasion.  A royal quiz and a game of pin-the-crown-on-King-Charles were both also big hits.

Relatives were invited to attend the event and share in an historic moment with their loved ones, while Colleagues at the care home were on hand throughout to support the activities and even have a dance with the Residents and their guests.

A Resident of Fieldway said: "How amazing is this? It’s been a nice afternoon, and I have really enjoyed myself".

Meanwhile a visiting Relative commented: "The singers were great; it was a lovely idea to have them perform here today".

Alexandra Albu, Home Manager, said: " It was amazing to witness all the planning come together and see everyone celebrate such an important moment with smiles and music".
