Fireworks display at Newton Aycliffe care homeResidents at Newton Aycliffe care home, Defoe Court, were joined by Colleagues and family to watch a beautiful fireworks display.

It was a chilly day and Residents were excited to get wrapped up warm to watch a firework display.

Residents got out their hats and gloves and waited in the car park with either a cup of hot chocolate or soup and waited for the display.

Families were invited along to watch the fireworks alongside their loved ones. They were so thankful for the Colleagues at Defoe Court. One Relative, commented, “It is amazing what the Colleagues do for the Residents. They have such a good time and make fantastic memories.”

Everyone had a great time, chatting with one another and being with their families.

One Resident, commented, “I love everything about Defoe Court, there is so much effort put in by everyone and Colleagues make the home a really nice environment to live in.”

Sarah Todd, Care Home Manager, remarked, “I am extremely lucky to have a team that will come together even when off duty. The Residents wellbeing is always at the forefront of their mind.”
