Fun with balloon modelling at Harnham CroftThe Residents at Harnham Croft care home, in Salisbury, have enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon of entertainment with balloon modelling.

Entertainer, Chris Kimber, showed Residents his balloon modelling talent. He asked each Resident to tell him about themselves and then created a balloon model that related to it. The group ended up with a model of a butterfly, alien, monkey in a tree, poodle, dog, baby, penguin, octopus, and even an owl!

Mary, Linda Alison, Robert, Eric, John, Pat, Gill, Lynn and Charles, who all live at the 38-bed residential and nursing care home, liked watching Chris turn the long balloons into objects and asking him all about his career in balloon modelling.

Lynn commented, “I love penguins. When I told Chris he said he has the best thing for me. He used three coloured balloons and finished with a penguin. Absolutely amazing.”

Gill said, “I used to have a dog that was white and tan. So, I asked Chris if he could make it and amazingly, he did. Very clever.”

Home Manager, Jim Bowie, remarked, “Residents were amazed by his creativity and very impressed by his person-centred balloons.”
