HC-One care homes celebrate Mother’s DayHC-One residents and colleagues celebrated Mother's Day together on Sunday 10th March. 

Residents at Newlands Care Home in Stockport, Cheshire, enjoyed celebrating Mother’s Day with their families. Tables were beautifully decorated for the occasion and the day was spent with residents enjoying a high afternoon tea with their loved ones where residents were spoilt for choice with a variety of delicacies including a doughnut and prosecco stand, a selection of homemade sandwiches and delicious cakes and scones. 

Residents indulged in a selection of treats as they sat and chatted happily sharing memories of their own mothers, how wonderful they were, the quality time they spent together as a family growing up and their own personal experiences of being mothers.

Newlands’ Home Manager, Melissa Johnson, commented:

“Residents thoroughly enjoyed celebrating Mother’s Day with their loved ones including indulging in the delicious food and drink options on offer. Thank you to our colleagues to spending the time and making the effort to specially decorate the home for the occasion.”

At Clarendon Hall Care Home in Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire, the home hosted a party for residents in celebration of Mother’s Day and all the amazing mother figures living in the home. Beautiful bunches of daffodils were given out to mother figures living in the home as well as gifts consisting of chocolate tulips, keepsake memory boxes and stationery alongside heartfelt cards with well wishes inside. 

Residents also enjoyed a selection of refreshments including finger sandwiches and other nibbles, as well as a choice of beverages.

Home Manager of Clarendon Hall Care Home, Nicola Walker, remarked:

The ladies of Rose Court Care Home in Radcliffe, Manchester, received a special visit from the children of St Mary’s School in Radcliffe. Residents designed cups with the school children so the children could take their finished masterpieces home to their mums in celebration of Mother’s Day. Residents also assisted the children with creating Mother’s Day artwork in an arts and crafts session. The session was finished with residents and children enjoying a drink and indulging in some chocolate together. Residents also enjoyed talking about their own children, mothers, and families, reflecting on some lovely memories. A great day was had by all, and the residents really enjoyed engaging with the school children.
