HC-One care homes enjoy a spook-tacular HalloweenResidents and colleagues across HC-One care homes celebrated Halloween with a variety of spooky and fun activities.
 
HC-One’s homes across the UK embraced the Halloween spirit and got involved in a range of fun activities to mark the occasion including pumpkin carving, fancy dress, apple bobbing, quizzes and parties with residents, families and members of the local community.
 
At Capwell Grange care home in Luton, Bedfordshire, residents got into the Halloween spirit by hosting a Halloween coffee morning, complete with delicious baked goods and pumpkin carving. The home also held a Halloween Party that the team at Capwell Grange organised for residents to enjoy, complete with a themed three course meal.

Bankwood Care Home in Belper, Derbyshire, celebrated Halloween by decorating the home with homemade crafts, and played games such as ‘Witch Hat Hoopla’ and ‘Pin the Head of the Skeleton’. Residents and colleagues also enjoyed getting dressed up in their Halloween costumes for the occasion and posing in the home’s specially made Halloween themed photo frame for some photos to capture the moment. Later in the afternoon, residents tucked into some Halloween treats including a hot chocolate topped with cream and marshmallows.   

At Avon Court Care Home in Chippenham, Wiltshire, residents and colleagues had a great time celebrating Halloween this year by dressing up in costumes and enjoying  lots of treats including a special cake and sweet parcels for residents to indulge in.
 
Meanwhile, at Millbrook Care Home in Stalybridge, Tameside, the home held a Halloween party which consisted of a fancy-dress competition and Halloween bingo. It was also an extra special day for resident, Bessie Sharples who celebrated her 102nd birthday.
