Peter Gibson, MP for Darlington, visited HC-One’s Support Office based in Southgate House on Archer Street in Darlington on 9th February. HC-One’s office provides support services to over 260 care homes across Britain.
Colleagues working in HC-One’s Support Office enjoyed meeting Peter Gibson and chatting to him about the company’s ethos, culture, values and the support services they provide to HC-One’s care homes.
Peter was able to spend time with HC-One’s Careline Team, including speaking to Deborah Hulse-Raper, Head of Customer Care at HC-One, and Denise Evans, Careline Advisor, who spoke with Peter about the calls the Careline Team takes and how they support HC-One care homes to help residents to lead their best lives.
Peter and Deborah discussed how HC-One is continuing to invest in colleagues through HC-One’s pay and rewards, and learning and development opportunities. They also talked about how HC-One is striving to be the first-choice care provider for residents by investing £93 million in refurbishing its care homes, in addition to its new build programme, and the acquisition of Ideal Carehomes.
Peter also had chance to find out more about HC-One’s contributions to the local community including the Support Office’s Christmas Fayre which raised over £700 and was split equally between two charities, Feeding Families and the Down’s Syndrome Association; HC-One’s Careline Team raising over £13,000 in aid of the Brain Tumour Research charity; HC-One’s support and sponsorship of Darlington Pride and the GOLD Tea Dance events; and donating over 100 cakes to Darlington’s local foodbank, King’s Foodbank as part of HC-One’s support for Cake4Kindness Day.
