HC-One’s Tameside care homes are celebrating a double win at the Cristal Care Awards on Friday 13th October, with
The Beeches care home in Dukinfield, and
Daisy Nook House, in Ashton-under-Lyne, both crowned winners in their award categories.
The Cristal (Celebrating Remarkable and Inspirational Stars, Teams and Leaders) Care Awards, aim to recognise outstanding people and teams across Tameside, working within the care sector.
The full team at The Beeches care home, walked away winners of the ‘Celebrating Personalisation in Care’ award. Which recognised the home’s colleagues supporting residents’ choice in their care.
Louise Clifford, Home Manager at The Beeches care home, said:
“Winning this Cristal team award is such a wonderful achievement for all our colleagues. Everyone here works hard to deliver high-quality, person-centred care with the residents’ best interests always at the heart of everything we do.”
At Daisy Nook House, Senior Care Assistant, Rachel Beswick won the award for ‘Leading the Way’. Rachel has been such a role model at the home and inspires and supports others everyday.
Commenting on her award, Rachel Beswick, said:
“Being nominated for a Cristal Care Award was lovely, winning was extremely humbling. The Daisy team has some wonderful and inspiring individuals, I'm very lucky to call my colleagues and my friends.”
Wayne Jones, Home Manager at Daisy Nook care home, added:
“Rachel is a credit to the home, she is always first to help anyway she can, especially supporting staff in learning.”
