Hillside View celebrates a special achievementHC-One’s Hillside View, nursing memory care home, on the outskirts Paisley, have recently celebrated a special achievement.

Resident Alana has recently graduated today after completing a barbering course at West of Scotland College. As a Resident of Hillside View, Alana shared she wanted to achieve a formal qualification. 

The home hairdresser, Carla stepped up and helped enrol and support Alana to attend college one day a week until her course was completed.

Once Alana completed her course, the event was celebrated with a special graduation at the care home to celebrate with her friends and fellow Residents. 

Alana’s mum and dad came to see her receive her award from councillor Eillen McCartlin.

Alana, commented, “I never thought when I moved into a care home this would be possible. Now look what I have done thanks to help from the staff.”

Additionally, Alana’s mum, added, “We are so proud of her, what an achievement! I can’t wait to get the picture up on the wall.”

Katy Jenks, Care Home Manager, said “We are so proud of Alana, she set herself a goal and achieved it.”
