Local MP visits Stoneleigh care homeResidents at HC-One’s Stoneleigh care home in Stanley gave a warm welcome to local MP for North Durham, Kevan Jones who stopped by the home for a lovely cup of tea and a chat.

MP Kevan Jones is a frequent visitor to Stoneleigh and he enjoys a lovely catch up and chat with the Residents and Colleagues. He loved to find out what’s been going on in the care home and listen to any thoughts they have to improve the local area of Annfield Plain.

Susan Dodds, Home Manager of Stoneleigh Care Home chatted openly with Kevan about what has been happening in the home since his last visit as well as taking the opportunity to discuss her wishes and future plans for Stoneleigh when the refurbishment begins later this year.

Discussions also turned to recognising the importance of team working within a care home setting, whilst appreciating the importance of each and every role that everyone undertakes at Stoneleigh.

Susan Dodds said, “I am extremely proud of our kind, caring and homely approach to looking after each and every one of our Residents, Stoneleigh is the Resident’s home and Colleagues appreciate and respect this.”

No visit to Stoneleigh would be complete until Susan had proudly done a walk around throughout the home, providing opportunity for Kevan to stop and speak to the Residents, with his final stop for a photo with the lovely Mrs T in Room 1.
