Middlesex Residents do a spot of indoor gardeningSpring has officially come to HC-One’s the Harefield care home and so the gardening projects are starting!

Wellbeing Coordinator, James Linton, knows how much two Residents loved to garden when they were younger, so he enabled them in creating hanging baskets.  Using flowers and plants like primroses, saxifrage and tulips, four gorgeous hanging baskets were created which are now in pride of place around the outside of the home.

See pictured Residents Oda Prestwich and Philip (Phil) Reed who took part in the project. Phil enjoyed using his hands to create something attractive. Oda remarked on how she loved feeling the soil in between her fingers. Both Phil and Oda thoroughly enjoyed being enabled to enjoy their old passions again.

Home Manager, Mary Nadeem, thought the hanging baskets looked “Absolutely lovely.”
