MP joins 100th birthday celebration event at Overdene House care homeHC-One's Overdene House care home in Winsford, Cheshire was visited on Thursday, 22nd June, by Member of Parliament for Eddisbury, Edward Timpson CBE KC, as the home welcomed visitors and guests from the local community to celebrate Resident Jack’s 100th birthday with a tea party.

Overdene House was delighted to open its doors to celebrate John “Jack” Clarke’s 100th birthday with Residents, Colleagues, friends, family, and the wider community.

Family and friends of Jack travelled from all over the world to be with him for the celebrations, and everyone was delighted when local MP Edward Timpson (Con, Eddisbury) presented him with his birthday card from King Charles III and Queen Camilla.

The party was full of laughter, and a surprise announcement as Jack told everyone he was stepping down as President of the Great British Cocker Spaniel Club—a position he has held since 2013. Derek Shapland—the Chairman of the club and a close friend—thanked Jack for all his contributions as a member over the last 60 years; particularly in his role as President.

Frank Kane—Crufts TV Presenter, renowned international judge, and Kennel Club Committee Member—congratulated Jack in a speech in which he talked about Jack’s adventurous life, judging all over the world.

Residents and Colleagues of the HC-One-owned home also enjoyed meeting their local MP, Edward Timpson, and chatting with him about what life is like at Overdene House, which is an integral part of its local community.
