Pontefract care home Residents cheer on England in the World CupResidents at Priory Gardens residential, nursing and residential dementia care home in Pontefract, West Yorkshire, have got the World Cup fever.

To kick off the start of the Fifa World Cup 2022, Residents were keen to support England and watch their first match.

The first game was played on the 21st November and England were up against Iran.

It was a fantastic win for England as they won scoring 6 goals whilst Iran scored 2.

Nellie Bullock and Barbara Burkinshaw, both Residents at Priory Gardens, were thrilled to see England winning their first match. They took a celebratory photo along with Colleague, Cristina Agular.

The Residents loved getting together to watch the football and support England in their journey through the World Cup.
