The Activities Coordinators at Broadoak Manor care home, Merseyside, decided that it would be nice to gift the Residents’ Relatives something personal for Christmas.
Colleagues decided that it would need be something that they could keep and, put their heads together to come up with the idea of personalised baubles.
Every Resident in the home from all the four units would have their own bauble which will be sent out to their families, once completed. The care Colleagues and the Activities Coordinators took pictures of the Residents to place inside of the baubles making each one very special. These have then been sent out as a gift.
Home Manager, Siobhan Dean, remarked, “This has made families very happy and connected to their love ones. Relatives gave us feedback about the baubles and have mentioned how warming it was to receive and made them smile.”
