Return of Gardening competition delights Uxbridge care home ResidentsThere was one Resident in particular at HC-One’s The Harefield care home in Uxbridge who was looking forward to getting started with their gardening competition entry.

Resident Oda Prestwich is one of The Harefield’s most accomplished gardeners, so Colleagues knew that her efforts could not go unrecognised. That's why they wanted to enter her into HC-One's Gardening competition.

In early March, Oda planted some tulip bulbs and primulas. Two months later they have blossomed into beautiful tulips. These have been a great way to help brighten up the home and make the Harefield more welcoming.

But Oda's talents aren't just limited to hanging baskets. She also has a wonderful patio full of plants as diverse as primulas, pansies and lilies. The other Residents love seeing how happy Oda becomes when she was planting her flowers.

Situated in the village of Harefield in Middlesex, The Harefield is a friendly care home with 40 beds, offering nursing and nursing dementia care.
