St Peters Court care home Residents have been on many trips this AprilResidents at St Peters Court care home in Redcar have enjoyed some lovely trips out on the minibus in April.

On the 14th April, Resident look a trip to Kirkleatham Museum in Redcar. Edith and Doreen went along with Ron, the bus driver and Beverley from the Wellbeing Team for a look around the museum.

The first stop was at the dandelion fountain to have a photo shoot, then into the museum.  Edith wanted to kiss Brian the camel, Doreen took everything in and said she was enjoying herself.  Lots of photos were taken and both Residents has a lovely time and couldn’t stop laughing. The trip ended with a well-earned cup of tea and cake.

The on the 19th of April, Residents Tim and Lillian had a walk down to the Happy Café which is situated close by. The café is a hub in the local community and both Tim and Lillian enjoyed chatting to the other visitors in the café. 

The coffee was delicious and both Tim and Lillian felt so happy chatting with those who live in the local community, they are keen to go back and meet with others. Judy and Beverly went along with Tim and Lillian and said they really enjoyed the café.

Myra, Lynn, Catherine, and Margaret took a trip out to the Dorman Museum in Middlesborough on the 21st of April along with Beverly from the Wellbeing Team. The ladies enjoyed looking around the museum and interacting with the exhibits and displays.
 
The ladies admired some beautiful pottery which was produce by Linthorpe Pottery and enjoyed trying on the helmets from Word War 2 soldiers. On the way home the ladies chatted about all the fascinating things they saw, and they made it home in time for a fish and chip supper. 

Jamie Stephenson, Care Home Manager, remarked, “We really appreciate getting the bus to take the residents out. They always come back having had a good time. We are so lucky to have lots of places of interest so close to us.”
