Stoneleigh care home Residents spread kindness to veteran on 105th birthdayResidents at Stoneleigh care home are spreading kindness in the community by celebrating a very special birthday!

When Colleagues at the 35-bed residential and residential dementia care home, saw online that people were asking for others to send 105th birthday cards to veteran Sir Ernie Horsfall.

Both Colleagues and Residents jumped at the idea of sending Sir Ernie a birthday card and wishes as they wanted to thank him for his dedication, sacrifices and service to the country.

Sending the cards also made the Residents and Colleagues reflect on the things they have experienced in life and how great it would feel to reach the grand age of 105!

Susan Dodds, Care Home Manager, said, “It was an honour and a privilege to be able to join the many to say happy birthday and, thank you for your dedication, sacrifices and service to allow us all to get to where we are all today.”

Sarah Parkin, Home Administrator, added, “It was a pleasure to be able to think of and create a unique gift for a true hero who has reached a great milestone birthday.”
