Tea time in the garden at Cambridge care homeResidents at HC-One’s The Cambridge care home in Cambridge, joined the Wellbeing Coordinators outside in the garden to try and enjoy the sunshine.

All Residents love spending time outside and seeing each other for a chat and a laugh. Residents laughed and joked about how the sun has been shining beautifully however as soon as they went outside the sun hid behind the clouds.

Amelia, Lead wellbeing coordinator and Clara, wellbeing coordinator, loved inviting the Residents out into the garden. Each Resident enjoyed their own choice of hot beverage and biscuit.

Residents Margaret Whitehead said: “I love spending time with different Residents from other units. Hearing their life stories and background is so intriguing.”

Colleagues played some music of their era and watched as everyone was singing along and clapping their hands out of time with the music.

Claire Hallise, Deputy Manager at The Cambridge said: "To see them all sing and clap outside after such a difficult year is amazing. Well done The Wellbeing Team for bringing home spirit back.”

Situated in the delightful Chesterton area of Cambridge, The Cambridge is a friendly care home with 90 beds, offering residential, nursing and nursing dementia care.
