Telford care home attend wreath laying serviceResidents at Telford’s Priorslee House that provides residential and residential dementia care have attended their first wreath laying service for Remembrance Day.

Colleagues and Residents went out for their first community wreath laying service. It was attended by local councillors, representatives of local businesses, Priorslee Primary School, Holy Trinity Children and Teachers and also other members of the Priorslee community.
There was a respectful service, with poems being read out, hymns sang by all, and everybody listened to The Last Post. There was then a two-minute silence held at 11am.

Residents commented on how amazing the children were and how they sang and also reading poems, one Resident said, “the children were brilliant!” another said how the children reading the poems was their favourite part of the service and one Resident went on to say “It was a lovely service and a good chance to pay our respects”.

Anita, Home Manager at Priorslee House said, “Times of great reflection highlight the importance of community. We are honoured to have attended Priorslee’s First Wreath Laying Service.”
