The Victoria Gardens OlympicsThis Month at Victoria Gardens residential care home, in Coventry, they created their very own Olympics!

All staff and Residents got involved; it was lovely sunny weather and all sat outside while staff started with hula hooping while Residents counted how many they could do.

Then Residents got involved with some ball throwing, and an egg and spoon race. Residents also enjoyed a cup of tea or glass of wine of their choice. Awards were then given out to Residents and staff for taking part and watching.

The Residents liked observing staff doing running and the limbo. Maria, who lives at Victoria Gardens, remarked, “I really enjoyed watching you staff, thank you for something different!”

See pictured Residents Maria, Jean, Joy, Alan, Romy, Carol, Joyce, Beryl, Housekeeping Colleague Sue and Wellbeing Coordinator Bianca holding the flag.

Bianca commented, “Well done, lovely to see so many Residents having a laugh!”
