Four Residents from HC-One’s The
Westbury care home, in Wiltshire, were accompanied by the wellbeing team and Maintenance Operative (and driver) Martin, to Lakeside Garden Centre, in Crockerton.
The group enjoyed a drink and slice of cake at the café and then went down to where the ducks were and fed them. Residents also spotted some fish swimming by too!
The kitchen team at the 44-bed residential and nursing care home supplied them with a picnic, which was enjoyed while sitting by the fishing lake.
The weather started overcast but brightened up and all Residents commented that it was nice to be outside of the home environment.
Caroline, who is the home’s Wellbeing Coordinator, commented, “Residents really enjoyed feeding the ducks and having a picnic together. They’ve asked when they are going again!”
