There was a wonderful celebration at HC-One’s Coppice Lodge Care Home in Arnold, Nottingham, on Friday 17th October, as everyone came together to mark the incredible 103rd birthday of our lovely resident, Doreen Berridge.
The festivities took place in our beautifully decorated tearoom, complete with colourful balloons and cheerful birthday banners. Doreen’s friends, family, and some of our fellow residents joined in the celebrations, filling the room with laughter, music, and smiles.
Doreen received an abundance of flowers and heartfelt cards, which brightened her day even more. Guests enjoyed a delicious selection of birthday cakes and cupcakes, lovingly prepared for the occasion.
In true Doreen style, she requested an Afternoon Tea, one of her favourite treats. This was served in partnership with the home’s regular ‘Talkin’ Tables’ event, which takes place every Thursday from 3–4pm. The weekly session welcomes members of the community to join us for friendly conversation, homemade cake, and a freshly brewed tea or coffee, all served with warmth and care.
Everyone agreed that Doreen’s special day was simply delightful, and she thoroughly enjoyed every moment surrounded by her loved ones and the Coppice Lodge family.
