HC-One’s Fieldway Care Home in Mitcham, Surrey, has launched its brand-new Ladies Pamper Club, offering residents a relaxing and rejuvenating experience right in the heart of their home.
Five delighted ladies came together for the inaugural session, enjoying an afternoon filled with warmth, laughter, and a touch of indulgence. The pamper session included nail soaking, cleaning, filing, and painting—each resident choosing to match their nail style after admiring a beautifully finished example.
Residents were given the option of a cup of tea or a glass of prosecco, with most opting for a comforting cup of tea while they reminisced and shared cherished memories of their younger days and the joy of preparing for special outings.
The experience was made extra special by Wellbeing Coordinator Angela Fenton, who went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect. Angela used nail art brushes and decorative stickers to add elegant finishing touches to each manicure. Once the nails were dry, she provided a relaxing scented oil hand massage, leaving residents feeling truly pampered.
Resident Jean Lamey shared her delight, saying:
“It was so nice to have a little pamper, and my nails were done so well—they are beautiful. I can't stop looking at them!”
The success of the first session means the Ladies Pamper Club will now become a monthly event, open to both returning and new residents. Future sessions will include face masks, foot spas, massages, and more intricate nail art treatments, all designed to promote wellbeing and provide residents with a sense of luxury and joy.
