Residents of HC-One Scotland’s Murrayfield House Care Home in Edinburgh recently had a fantastic time visiting the Five Stars Zoo.
Residents were thrilled by the variety of animals at Five Stars Zoo, with many captivated by the graceful giraffes, playful monkeys, and majestic big cats. Some residents loved feeding the farm animals and getting up close to friendly goats and sheep, while others delighted in exploring the colourful bird enclosures and spotting exotic species they had never seen before. Beyond the animals themselves, residents cherished the opportunity to spend time outdoors, breathe in the fresh air, and share laughter and stories with friends and colleagues, making it a truly special and memorable day.
Trips like these form an essential part of Murrayfield House’s wellbeing and activity programme, helping residents stay active, engaged, and connected to the wider community. Over the past few months, residents have enjoyed a variety of summer activities, including garden parties, outdoor music sessions, arts and crafts, and gentle nature walks, all designed to create meaningful experiences and lasting memories.
