Berry Hill Park Care Home celebrates National Pet Day with community pet eventHC-One’s Berry Hill Park Care Home in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, is celebrating National Pet Day on Friday 20 February by welcoming residents, families and members of the local community for a day of pet-themed fun.

The special event will bring together animal lovers of all ages and highlight the important role pets play in bringing joy, companionship and comfort.

Morning activities will take place from 11am to 12pm in the care home’s main lounge and will include a pet show and tell, alongside a nostalgic “tell us about your pets when you were growing up” session, giving residents the opportunity to share fond memories and stories.

In the afternoon, the celebrations will continue with a visit from a mobile petting zoo, which will be hosted in the downstairs lounge. Residents and guests will be able to interact with a range of friendly animals, providing a hands-on and uplifting experience.

“Pets have a wonderful way of bringing people together and sparking happy memories. National Pet Day is a fantastic opportunity for our residents to reminisce about animals they’ve loved throughout their lives, while also enjoying the excitement of meeting some very special furry visitors. We’re really looking forward to welcoming the local community to join us for what promises to be a lovely day.”

The event reflects HC-One’s commitment to creating meaningful activities that support residents’ wellbeing and strengthen connections with the local community.
