Caerphilly Care Home Residents Indulge in Cheese Festival Fun

Residents from HC-One Wales’s Church View Care Home in Caerphilly enjoyed a wonderful day out at the annual Caerphilly Cheese Festival, immersing themselves in local culture and culinary delights.

Residents were treated to a fantastic day filled with exploration and entertainment. They spent time browsing the vibrant market stalls, enjoying live music performances from local artists, and learning about the rich history of the area. A major highlight was sampling a variety of local cheeses and soaking up the lively festival atmosphere.

The festivities continued back at the care home, where the brilliant kitchen team organised a special cheese-tasting experience. Residents had the opportunity to sample a diverse selection of cheeses from across the country, further extending the day's celebration of all things cheese.

Lisa Jones, Home Manager at HC-One Wales’s Church View Care Home said:

"We had an incredible day. It was wonderful to see our residents so engaged, enjoying the music, and tasting all the delicious cheeses. The festival atmosphere was truly amazing, and our kitchen team's cheese-tasting event was the perfect way to cap off the day."

The successful outing is part of Church View's ongoing commitment to providing stimulating and enjoyable experiences that connect residents with their local community and create lasting memories.
