HC-One’s Cedar House Care Home in Harefield, Middlesex, recently enjoyed a very special visit, one of music’s greatest legends, Elvis Presley, well, a very talented tribute act!
Residents were thrilled as Elvis serenaded them with classic hits including Love Me Tender, delivering smiles, laughter, and even a few rose-giving moments that left one of our newest residents beaming all afternoon.
The event, organised by Activities Co-ordinator Zonya Sullivan, included a selection of tasty snacks and sumptuous desserts, ensuring everyone’s spirits were lifted both musically and gastronomically.
“I used to love Elvis when I was younger – this is like re-living my youth,” said one delighted resident. Another added, “He’s just like the real thing, I may never have been to the US, but I felt like I was experiencing Elvis live!”
Residents enthusiastically joined in, offering impromptu backing vocals to support the performance. Whether they preferred the slow ballads or the upbeat numbers, the afternoon was filled with laughter, music, and joy for everyone at Cedar House.
Zonya Sullivan commented, “It was wonderful to see so many of our residents enjoying themselves, reminiscing, and sharing in such a memorable experience. Moments like these are what make life at Cedar House so special.”
