Residents and colleagues at HC-One’s Priory Gardens Care Home in Pontefract, West Yorkshire, came together on the 3
rd December to celebrate a remarkable milestone as much-loved resident Helen Shillito marked her 100th birthday.
Helen enjoyed a memorable day surrounded by her family, friends, former neighbours, fellow residents and the dedicated staff team who were honoured to share such a special occasion with her. She was especially delighted to receive a visit from her nephew, Christopher, who spent the day celebrating his aunt’s incredible century of life.
The festivities included a beautifully presented afternoon tea, complete with a slice of classic birthday cake. Helen, however, was most looking forward to one of her all-time favourites, a traditional fruit cake served with a slice of cheese, a Yorkshire treat she still enjoys.
