Residents, colleagues and community partners came together recently at HC-One’s Mossdale Residence Care Home in Burnholme, York, for a special weekly coffee morning, which also played host to Age UK’s first team monthly meeting at the home.
The event enjoyed a lovely turnout, with guests treated to a selection of homemade delights prepared by Mossdale Residence’s kitchen team, including coffee and walnut cake, carrot cake and chocolate brownies, alongside refreshments and biscuits. The welcoming atmosphere provided the perfect setting for conversation, connection and collaboration.
Mossdale Residence’s weekly coffee mornings take place every Tuesday from 10am to 12pm and are open to everyone in the local community. The sessions are run by Mossdale Residence’s dedicated wellbeing coordinators, Pauline and Julie, who are passionate about creating inclusive and sociable experiences for residents and visitors alike.
Age UK representatives shared extremely positive feedback following their meeting and have since confirmed plans to attend future coffee mornings, as well as host more of their meetings at Mossdale Residence using the home’s facilities.

The coffee morning was also attended by Danielle Smith, Regional Admissions Coordinator, who joined residents and guests in celebrating the growing partnership between Mossdale Residence and Age UK.
