HC-One’s De Brook Lodge Care Home in Flixton, Manchester, is delighted to invite friends, relatives, and members of the local community to join the second meeting of the Friends of De Brook Lodge group on Friday 24th October at 2:00pm.
The event will take the form of a relaxed coffee afternoon, offering guests a chance to enjoy refreshments, meet other families, and discuss ideas about how everyone can continue to make a positive impact on the home, its residents, and dedicated team members.
The Friends of De Brook Lodge initiative was created to strengthen the bond between the home, residents’ families, and the wider community. The group aims to provide a space for open conversation, collaboration, and support, helping ensure De Brook Lodge remains a warm, inclusive, and enriching environment for all who live and work there.
In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, attendees are encouraged to wear pink as a show of solidarity with all those whose lives have been affected by breast cancer.
Everyone is welcome, whether they are a current or past relative, a friend of the home, or a member of the local community who would like to get involved.
Guests can look forward to good company, delicious coffee and cake, and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful discussions about how to further enrich life at De Brook Lodge.
Alan Eyres, Home Manager at HC-One’s De Brook Lodge Care Home said:
“We are so excited to be hosting our second Friends of De Brook Lodge meeting. Our first gathering was full of warmth and wonderful ideas, and this time we hope to build on that sense of togetherness.
“These meetings are a special opportunity to strengthen our community spirit, bringing together residents, families, and our local friends to share thoughts, laughter, and support. The positive energy and commitment from everyone involved make such a difference to daily life in our home.
“We’re also proud to use this event to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month. By wearing pink, we stand together with everyone affected by breast cancer, showing that compassion and care extend beyond our home’s walls.”
