Residents and staff at The Denby Care Home in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, marked a special milestone this week as they celebrated resident Margaret Jones’ 95th birthday with a joyful trip to their local pub, The White Hart.
To honour Margaret’s love of quizzes, residents brought their own birthday-themed quiz along to The White Hart, where they spent the afternoon sharing laughs, stories and drinks with friends. The celebration was made even more special as friends and family dropped by to join in the festivities and help mark Margaret’s big day on 16th February.
Quizzes are a favourite activity for Margaret, and the outing provided a wonderful opportunity for residents to enjoy time together in the local community, creating meaningful memories and strengthening social connections.

“It’s always really nice getting our residents into our local community, and when relatives join us it’s even better. Seeing Margaret surrounded by friends, family and fellow residents on her 95th birthday was really special.”
