HC-One’s Fairway View Care Home in Nottingham Invites Over-65s to Enjoy Homemade Soup This DecemberHC-One’s Fairway View Care Home in Nottingham is opening its doors to the local community this festive season, offering a warm welcome and homemade soup to residents aged 65 and over.

Every weekday throughout December, local seniors are invited to drop by Fairway View Care Home between 4pm and 6pm to enjoy a hearty homemade soup and freshly baked bread roll in the company of friendly staff and fellow community members.

Melanie Hayes, Home Manager at HC-One’s Fairway View Care Home, said:

“Our goal at Fairway View is to create a welcoming, supportive environment not just for our residents, but for the wider community as well. Winter can be a lonely time for many older people, so we wanted to offer a simple way for neighbours to come together, enjoy a hot meal, and have a chat in a safe and friendly space.”

The initiative reflects Fairway View’s commitment to community engagement and social wellbeing. Fairway View Care Home regularly hosts activities and events that encourage connection, promote wellbeing, and build strong links with local residents. The homemade soup afternoons are part of this ongoing effort, combining good food with social interaction.

No booking is necessary, visitors can simply drop in, relax, and enjoy a warm meal. Whether it’s for a few minutes or the full two hours, the team at Fairway View is excited to welcome the local over-65s for festive cheer, conversation, and comfort.
