Grampian Court Care Home Unveils Unique Pom-Pom Christmas TreeHC-One’s Grampian Court Care Home in Peterlee, County Durham, is spreading festive cheer with a very special Christmas tree, entirely handmade from colourful pom-poms.

The project began in January, bringing together residents, families, colleagues, friends, and even the local school in a true community effort. Over the months, everyone has contributed, including residents who are no longer with us, making the tree a heartfelt tribute and a symbol of togetherness.

The tree will be officially unveiled on 2nd December from 11am until 2pm and Grampian Court is inviting members of the public to join in the celebration where there will be a professional singer and refreshments available. The day will also feature a Christmas party, marking the start of the festive season with music, treats, and community spirit.

Emma Brown, Home Manager at HC-One’s Grampian Court Care Home, said:
“This project has been a labour of love. It’s wonderful to see everyone come together to create something so joyful and meaningful. We can’t wait to share it with the local community and kick off Christmas in style.”

The pom-pom Christmas tree stands as a reminder of creativity, collaboration, and the enduring connections within the Grampian Court family. Everyone is welcome to come along, enjoy the festivities, and celebrate the season together.
