Greenacres Care Home in Meltham, Holmfirth, is delighted to announce the grand opening of Bobbins & Blossom, a new sensory florist-themed room designed to inspire creativity, relaxation and meaningful engagement for residents and their families.
The official ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by the Mayor of Meltham, Councillor Ann Jurczyszyn, who declared the room open before taking time to meet residents and chat with them about the new space. A special photo opportunity was held with the Mayor wearing her Mayoral Chains, marking the occasion.
Bobbins & Blossom has been carefully designed to stimulate the senses, with bright colours, scented pots, dried flowers for arranging, crafting stations, and seed-planting activities. The room offers opportunities for residents to explore smell, touch and sight through hands-on floristry-inspired activities, supporting wellbeing, creativity and reminiscence.

Greenacres Care Home hopes the new sensory florist shop will become a vibrant hub for activities, creativity and connection, helping residents and relatives create special moments together.
Greenacres is also currently promoting an introductory offer for new residents, with four weeks for the price of three, providing families with an opportunity to experience the home’s high-quality care and vibrant activities programme.
