Grimsby care home residents celebrate National Biscuit Day with baking bonanzaResidents at Clarendon Hall care home in Grimsby, Lincolnshire, turned the dining room into a bustling bakery to celebrate National Biscuit Day on Thursday, May 29.

This event embraced the joy of creating and devouring their favourite teatime treats. The care home’s enthusiastic cooking club rolled up their sleeves to whip up a delightful selection of biscuits, filling the air with the comforting aroma of freshly baked goods.

The residents crafted three mouth-watering varieties, including peanut butter rings, Nutella rings, and jam and coconut rings. The baking session was a lively affair, with laughter and flour flying in equal measure.
Nicola Walker, Home Manager of Clarendon Hall Care Home, said:

“Residents had a really good time in the dining room while making the biscuits - at times it was only just short of being chaotic!

It was lovely seeing the residents getting involved. The biscuits turned out beautifully and the residents really enjoyed tasting the fruits of their labours, especially with a well-earned cuppa.”
