
Residents and colleagues at HC-One’s Hambleton Grange Care Home in Thirsk, North Yorkshire, embraced the Halloween spirit by hosting a vibrant Pumpkin Exhibition, bringing together the local community in a celebration of creativity and fun.
The event invited local businesses and individuals to carve and decorate pumpkins, showcasing their imagination and seasonal flair. The response from the community was fantastic, with more than 50 beautifully crafted entries displayed throughout the home.
Residents, colleagues, and visitors all joined in the fun by voting for their top three favourite pumpkins, making the event interactive and engaging for everyone involved. The variety and quality of the entries reflected the strong community spirit surrounding Hambleton Grange.
Residents especially enjoyed the judging process, taking delight in choosing their favourite designs and admiring the creativity on display. The event was a true testament to how shared experiences can bring people together.
Lindsey Ashby, Front of House Manager, who came up with the idea for the exhibition, was delighted by the turnout and enthusiasm.
Elaine Snowden, Lifestyle Manager at Hambleton Grange, and Sandra Anderson, Home Manager, praised the event for fostering connection and joy among residents and the wider community.
