HC-One’s Cedar House Care Home in Harefield, Middlesex, is thrilled to mark a special milestone as its longest-staying resident, Lillian Moore, celebrated her 92nd birthday on Saturday, May 31, 2025.
This joyous occasion coincides with Lillian’s 10-year anniversary as a cherished member of the Cedar House community, having made the care home her residence in September 2015. The day was filled with warmth and festivity as Lillian was joined by her niece, Val, who travelled from Yorkshire to share in the celebration.
Surrounded by Cedar House colleagues and fellow residents, Lillian was the star of the day as she unwrapped gifts that brought smiles to everyone’s faces. Among her favourite presents was a vibrant selection of nail varnish, adding a splash of colour to her special day.
Zonya Sullivan, HC-One’s Cedar House Care Home Wellbeing Coordinator, shared:
“Lillian is loved by colleagues and the other residents. She very much enjoyed being the centre of attention!”
Patience Sibanda, HC-One’s Cedar House Care Home Manager, added:
“It’s always a pleasure to be in the company of Lillian.”
Lillian, who previously worked at the fire station on Ladbroke Grove near her home, speaks fondly of her time there, where she took on roles in cooking and cleaning. Coming from a close-knit family, Lillian shared an especially strong bond with her brother, Robert, until his death.
The siblings became inseparable, like ‘peas in a pod’, following their mother’s passing when Lillian was just six years old. For more information about HC-One care homes near you, please visit Care homes near me - Residential, Nursing & Dementia Care | HC One.
