HC-One’s Hartford Court Care Home in Cramlington, Northumberland, is inviting members of the local community to come together for conversation and companionship as part of the Chatty Café Scheme.
The care home now hosts a Chatter and Natter table every Wednesday between 11am and 12.30pm, offering a relaxed and welcoming space for people of all ages to stop by, enjoy a cup of tea and share a chat. Each session is hosted by a friendly volunteer, helping to ensure everyone feels comfortable and included.
The initiative aims to tackle loneliness and social isolation by encouraging simple, meaningful conversations. Visitors are welcome to stay for as little as five minutes or for as long as they’re enjoying the conversation. Having a chat, no matter how brief, can make a real difference and brighten someone’s day.
Commenting on the initiative, Melanie Walton, Home Manager at Hartford Court Care Home said:

Everyone is welcome to attend the Chatter and Natter table, which takes place every Wednesday at Hartford Court Care Home in Cramlington.
