Residents and team members at HC-One’s Sheraton Court Care Home in Hartlepool, Teesside, were delighted to welcome
Jonathan Brash, Member of Parliament for Hartlepool, on Friday 28th November as part of this year’s UK Parliament Week celebrations.
During his visit, Mr Brash took time to meet residents and colleagues, gaining insight into daily life at Sheraton Court, an 80-bed home offering both residential and residential dementia care. He was given a guided tour of the home’s facilities, including its welcoming café, hair salon, comfortable lounges, spacious dining areas, and a range of ensuite and premium bedrooms.
Residents shared their thoughts on local and national issues, engaging in lively discussions about community life and the role of Parliament. Mr Brash also learned more about Sheraton Court’s dedication to providing compassionate, person-centred care and the wide variety of activities that enhance residents’ wellbeing.
The visit underscored Sheraton Court’s strong community ethos and its commitment to ensuring residents remain connected, informed, and empowered to express their views.
UK Parliament Week is an annual nationwide initiative designed to inspire people to learn about Parliament, democracy, and how they can influence change. Sheraton Court’s participation offered residents a valuable opportunity to connect with their local representative and take part in meaningful conversations about the issues that matter most to them.
