HC-One’s Primrose House Care Home is celebrating after Deputy Manager, Jasmin Desingco, has been named as a finalist for the Dementia Care Manager of the Year at the
National Care Awards 2025.
Jasmin has dedicated more than 20 years of her career to dementia nursing, building an exceptional reputation for her leadership, compassion, and innovation in care. Since joining Primrose House, she has played a pivotal role in shaping the home into a warm, inclusive, and stimulating environment where residents, families, and colleagues thrive together.
As one of HC-One’s lead dementia-trained coaches, Jasmin provides expert mentoring and guidance to colleagues, empowering them with the confidence and skills to deliver the highest standards of care. Her approachable style inspires teamwork and motivates staff to grow, while her hands-on leadership ensures residents always remain at the heart of decision-making.
Jasmin also goes above and beyond to support families, explaining dementia with clarity and compassion, and even creating condensed training sessions to help relatives better understand their loved ones’ needs. By fostering open communication, she strengthens trust and ensures inclusive relationships flourish.
Her creativity is seen in initiatives such as the “wellbeing/well day” morning exercises – two-minute stretches that involve colleagues and residents alike, with some residents now leading the activity themselves. She also recently spearheaded a successful programme that reduced the use of anti-psychotic medication at the home, an achievement recognised as gold standard in an internal inspection.
Dawn Sadler, HC-One’s Primrose House Care Home Manager, said:
“Jasmin is the heart of dementia care at Primrose House. Her leadership, compassion, and innovative approach make an enormous difference to residents, families, and colleagues every single day. This shortlisting is a well-deserved recognition of her dedication.”
Jasmin’s nomination is further strengthened by Primrose House’s consistently strong CQC ratings, including “Good” across all five key areas. Her contribution ensures the home remains a safe, caring, and vibrant place where people living with dementia can flourish.
The National Care Awards 2025 is set to take place on November 7, 2025, at Park Plaza on Westminster Bridge, London. For more information on HC-One homes in your area visit
