Haywood Lodge Care Home Raises Funds for Studley First RespondersHC-One’s Haywood Lodge Care Home in Studley has proudly raised £314 for Studley First Responders, a vital community initiative providing life-saving emergency care to local people.

Since the summer, residents, colleagues and visitors at Haywood Lodge have been fundraising for Studley First Responders, a team of dedicated volunteers trained by West Midlands Ambulance Service. The group operates on a self-funded basis, relying entirely on donations and fundraising events to support their essential work in the community.

The fundraising efforts began at Haywood Lodge’s summer fete in August, which was attended by members of Studley First Responders. On the day, volunteers gave members of the public the opportunity to try CPR techniques using resuscitation dummies, helping to raise awareness of the importance of emergency response skills. The fete also included a raffle and a barbecue, with all proceeds going towards the charity.

In total, Haywood Lodge raised £314, which will help support the responders in continuing to provide rapid, life-saving assistance to those in need.

Luke Barry, volunteer with Studley First Responders, thanked everyone involved.

Georgia Cooney, Home Manager at Haywood Lodge Care Home, added:

“We are incredibly proud to support such a worthy cause that makes a real difference in our local community. Studley First Responders provide an invaluable service, and we’re delighted to have been able to contribute to their work. We’re looking forward to raising even more funds in the new year.”

Haywood Lodge Care Home remains committed to supporting local initiatives and bringing residents, colleagues and the wider community together through meaningful fundraising activities.
