HC-One's Snapethorpe Hall Welcomes Community at Monthly CaféHC-One's Snapethorpe Hall in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, hosted its Community Café on the first Tuesday of November, bringing together residents, their families, and local guests for a morning of conversation, refreshments, and connection.

New residents were delighted by the warm and welcoming atmosphere, particularly the layout of the dining room, and expressed their intention to attend future monthly gatherings. Approximately 25 people participated, enjoying biscuits and cakes prepared by the hall’s kitchen, alongside coffee or tea of their choice. Relaxing music played in the background as attendees discussed a variety of topics, including the upcoming Christmas Market in December.

A special thank you was extended to Lisa Johnston, daughter of resident Mary Wild, who generously donated a beautiful tea set to enhance the monthly event.

Daniela Manea, Wellbeing Coordinator at HC-One’s Snapethorpe Hall Care Home, said:
"It was wonderful to see residents and guests enjoying themselves, sharing stories, and forming new friendships. Moments like this are what make our Community Café so special."

One of the attendees added:
"The atmosphere was so warm and welcoming, I can’t wait to come back next month!"

Looking ahead, Snapethorpe Hall will host its next Community Café on Tuesday, 2nd December, marking a special occasion as the Wakefield Choir joins as guests. To celebrate, the café will begin at 1:30pm, when the choir will perform a festive programme and invite everyone to sing along. As always, everyone is welcome to attend, enjoy refreshments, and share in an afternoon of music, community, and cheer.

HC-One’s Snapethorpe Hall continues to provide a welcoming space for residents and the wider community to connect, relax, and share experiences.
